Weld Recreation Survey

Over the past several years, there has been a growing interest in bringing a Pickleball/Multi-use Recreational Area to the Town of Weld. Last summer, several residents set up nets and played in the library parking lot. This year, interest has continued to grow,  the Town of Weld Recreation Committee, a municipal committee appointed by the Select Board, is considering a proposal to pursue grants and donations to fund this exciting possibility. At this point in time, there are two areas of land being considered. Both of these are already owned by the Town; first, the existing tennis courts and playground area in the center of town and second, the  ball field area down by the town garage off Bypass Rd.

The Committee will be pursuing grants and donations to pay for the majority if not all of the cost. We are turning to the tax payers and residents to provide information, gauge interest,  and gather feedback.  The Weld Recreation Committee believe that these facilities could bring a new and enjoyable, low cost activity to our community and hope all taxpayers will complete this survey.

If there are multiple adults living in your household, please feel free to have each adult submit there own response. There will also be paper copies of this survey available in the Town Office and at Skoolhouse Variety, as well as posted electronically on the Town Webb Site.
